GALLUP MCKINLEY COUNTY SCHOOLS SUV DRIVERS WHO TRANSPORT STUDENTS

(6 Hrs per day)

Drivers Needed:  1- Tohatchi Area  

Job Description:

Drivers Must have an interest in and empathy for children

Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of driving in a safe and courteous manner

Must submit to a background check.

Must be at least twenty one (21) years old and will need to complete the following requirements to drive SUV’S to Transport students to and from school or bus stops.

• State of New Mexico Medical Examiner’s Physical –
• Drug test – All district personnel who transport students must participate in the random drug testing program conducted by GMCS.
• Activity Driver Pre-Service Training – this is an 8 hour course that must be conducted by a certified NM State  SBDI Instructor.
• Defensive Driving Certificate –This course must be completed by a certified State SBDI Instructor.
• FIRST AID / CPR – certified from an accredited provider. We WILL NOT accept the certificates for courses taken ONLINE.
• Valid New Mexico Driver License.
• State of New Mexico Motor Vehicle Record: Attained from the Motor Vehicle Department.
• All SUV drivers transporting students to and from school or bus stops must obtain a class B CDL within six months of being hired.
