TITLE: Assessment Services Coordinator

DEPARTMENT: Student Support Center

WORK HOURS: 8 hours per day – 40 hours per work week

CONTRACT LENGTH: 246 days

SALARY:  12 month Coordinator

Description ASSESSMENT SERVICES COORDINATOR

To supervise and coordinate national, statewide, and district achievement assessment programs and language testing programs within the office of the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction. To coordinate testing activities, including test security issues, data analysis tools, and all training related to testing and data analysis, with other divisions, outside agencies and the general public; and to provide highly responsible and complex staff assistance to the Director of Curriculum and Assessment. This position will support the district in all national, state, and district assessments. The coordinator will be responsible for high level training of school site staff involved in testing. The coordinator must follow all New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) and district policies, procedures, and protocols; and complete all duties per the NMPED in alignment with assessment/testing. A background of working with various assessment platforms, developing complex documents for the platforms, monitoring assessment progress, ability to trouble-shoot, and provide high quality customer service is required. An ability to maintain a high level of organization of secure materials, student information, and training materials is required.

 

Required:

  • Experience: Four years of elementary or secondary teaching experience. One year of administration and/or lead supervisory experience is preferred. Test implementation experience, school-level coordination, and district level coordination of testing services is strongly preferred.
  • License or Certificate: Possession of, or ability to obtain, a minimum of a Teaching license OR Administration license from the New Mexico Public Education Department.
