TITLE: Personnel Office Process Manager

CLASSIFICATION: Secretarial

DEPARTMENT: Personnel

WORK HOURS: 8.0 hours per day – 40.0 hours per work week

CONTRACT LENGTH: 246 days

Job Description:

This position requires both human resources, legal, and payroll experience as the responsibilities bridge multiple facets of the Personnel Office.  This position provides confidential support of the Personnel Office’s legal, evaluative, and fiscal duties.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Managing legal documents for the school district
  • Document iVisions HR processes and train staff members
  • Use and manage iVisions for the Personnel Office
  • Assist with technical management of NMTEACH
  • Prepare all required reports
  • Maintain appropriate records
  • Assist in document compilation and review to ensure discovery requests, response deadlines, and internal mandates are met
  • Perform legal research as requested
  • Maintain a case calendar and timelines
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Work with the Personnel Office administration
  • Liaise with general counsel and other attorneys as necessary
  • Liaise with the Business Office to partner on payroll issues
  • Occasionally perform work beyond a standard 40-hour work week when work-load requires
  • Complete a high volume of computer work, using District computer programs, to input high volume of data with speed and accuracy, including confidential data, in an environment with constant interruptions.
  • Work cooperatively with co-workers and other district employees.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • BA or graduation from an accredited institution with at least an Associate of Science Degree, Degree in Paralegal Studies, or Legal Administrative Degree.
  • Previous successful experience in the legal field strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements: Ability to perform the job and access the environment for which you are hired.  The following may be required: Sitting, standing, lifting, moving about the room or school, carrying (up to 50 pounds), reaching, squatting, kneeling, prolonged typing, physical ability to type on a keyboard terminal, and moving light furniture.

 

Equipment/Technology Handled: Must know how to properly operate or be willing to learn to operate all multimedia equipment including current technology. 

 

Work Environment: Must be able to work within various degrees of noise, temperature, and air quality.  Interruptions of work are routine.  Flexibility and patience are required.  Must be self-motivated and able to complete job assignment without direct supervision.  After hour work may be required.

 

Terms of Employment: Salary and work calendar established yearly by the district.

 

All GMCS schools are eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).
